No printer needed to send a parcel

  1. 1. Prepare online or in the app.
    It only takes a few minutes and we’ll generate your posting code.

  2. 2. Label your parcel.
    Write the code directly on the parcel with a marker – or stick on a label if you prefer.

  3. 3. Bring your parcel to a Balíkovna location or simply pop it into a locker.
    At a staffed location, staff will scan or enter the code. At a locker, simply type the code on the keypad and pop your parcel inside. Done!

And if you prefer the traditional way, printing a label is still an option.

FAQs

We monitor the availability of each locker (some extremely overloaded lockers are not even offered). We recommend that you take the availability into account when choosing a locker. The ideal locker is one showing “available,” or “occasionally full.” With lockers marked “almost full,” the risk increases that your parcel will be stored at an alternative pickup location.

Availability information is displayed in the locker details in the Balíkovna mobile application, here on the website in the “Find Balíkovna” section, or directly on your favourite online store website.

We always try to find space for your parcel in the locker of your choice. If the parcel cannot be stored in the original locker, we will attempt to find an alternative locker, primarily according to distance. If no alternative locker has space, your parcel will be stored at the most suitable Balíkovna outlet, either at a post office or at another partner location.

Yes. Lockers have a limited number of large compartments. The maximum parcel size for lockers is 50 × 50 × 50 cm and a weight of 15 kg. Larger and/or heavier parcels cannot be stored in lockers.

If the original locker does not have sufficient availability, the Balíkovna system searches for an alternative locker. The aim is to increase the success rate of delivery to lockers. If the parcel cannot be stored in any locker, the system will select another suitable location (partner Balíkovna outlets or post offices).

If we are unable to deliver your parcel, we will prepare it for pickup at the nearest available location, including Balíkovna outlets and lockers. Depending on the currently available capacity of the closest locations, the depositing place for one address may now differ on different days. The optimal location is selected by the system and cannot be chosen by the courier or the customer.

You will be informed of the storage location and other important details in a notification sent to your email address and possibly by a text message. The information is also available in the Balíkovna mobile application or on the Balíkovna website in the “Track parcel” section.

Lockers

• Lockers are generally accessible for pickup 24/7.

• COD amount must be paid online in our application.

Balíkovna outlets

• You only need the pickup code to collect the parcel.

You have 7 calendar days to collect the parcel.

If several parcels are being delivered to you on the same day (and you are not at home), the system will determine whether storage at a pickup point (e.g. Sazka, newsagent) or at a post office is more suitable, so that all your parcels are always stored at one location. You will always be informed of the storage location in a notification sent to your email address and possibly by a text message.

The following parcels cannot be stored in lockers or partner Balíkovna outlets:
– Weight over 15 kg
– Size larger than M (50 × 50 × 50 cm)
– Additional services: “Delivery to the Addressee Only,” “Multiple Piece Consignment,” “Insured Consignment,” “Longer Collection Time”
– Declared value exceeding CZK 50,000 – COD amount exceeding CZK 50,000.

For AlzaBox and Penguin Box lockers, it is sufficient to write the posting code on the parcel. For OX Point lockers, a printed label must still be affixed to the parcel.

Boxes 

  • You only need the pickup code to collect the parcel. 

  • Boxes are typically available 24/7, although parcels are stored there for 48 hours only. 

  • COD amount must be paid online in our application. 

Balíkovna not located at a post office 

  • You only need the pickup code to collect the parcel. 

  • You have 7 calendar days to collect the parcel.

  • COD amount can be paid by cash at the location, or online in our application. 

 

Each locker has a customer support phone number displayed. Please call, state the location of the locker, and follow the operator’s instructions.  
 
If you cannot collect your parcel, call the Balíkovna helpline on 218 218 218. The incident will be recorded and your parcel will then be stored at the nearest Balíkovna at a post office. 
 
If you cannot send your parcel, please use another locker. You may also try collecting or sending the parcel later.

All post offices accept cash or card payments.
 
Balíkovna outlets at other locations
Some of our partners do not accept card payments. In such case, you can use a prior online card payment. Just find your parcel in the  Track parcel tool. If it is ready for pickup, click on the “Online card payment” button. Another option is to pay via a mobile application. Alternatively, use the link contained in the email notification. It is sent as soon as the parcel is ready for pickup.
 
Box
Parcels with COD waiting in a boxes may only be picked up after a prior online card payment of the COD amount. You will not be able to open the box until the parcel is paid for. Just find your parcel in the Track parcel tool and click on the “Online card payment” button. Another option is to pay via a mobile application. Alternatively, use the link contained in the email notification or in the SMS. It is sent as soon as the parcel is ready for pickup.
 
Balíkovna Home Delivery
The COD amount can be paid directly to the driver in cash or by card. Most of our drivers have a payment terminal.

Unfortunately not. Smaller Balíkovna locations have a limited storage capacity so we need you to pick up your parcel as soon as possible, within 7 calendar days at the latest. You have 2 working days to pick up the parcel from a box. But don’t worry. If you do not have time, just send somebody else with the pickup code to collect your parcel.
