You can have your Balíkovna parcel sent to a pickup location including Balíkovna outlets located at post office, Balíkovna outlets at other locations and self-services boxes or to an address, such as home, office, or summer house.

The discounted price for parcels is intended for registered users of the My Balíkovna account and is therefore available exclusively to registered users who have created an account with us. The discounted price applies to parcels sent from the website www.balikovna.cz or from our mobile application to any other Balíkovna or address within the Czech Republic.

Easily. Just create a  My Balíkovna account on our website and log in. Have you already registered on My Balíkovna? Then all you have to do is to log in to  balikovna.cz/poslat-balik  or to our mobile application and send your parcel to any Balíkovna or address in the Czech Republic.

The discounted price for your parcel will be automatically loaded after you log in to your My Balíkovna account and fill in the data to send your parcel.

With address label:
Parcels with attached printed address label can be sent from any Balíkovna location or self-service box.


Without address label:
Parcels without attached printed address label can be sent from any Balíkovna location but not from self-service boxes where only parcels with attached address label can be dropped off (*).

(*) Sending parcels from any Penguin Box is possible without a printed label (you only need to write the posting code on the parcel).

Balíkovna outlets located at post office
You will need the pickup code contained in the email or text notification or in our mobile application plus the recipient’s name to pick up your parcel at a post office. Alternatively, you may use your identity document. Most post offices have a ticket terminal. Press the “Code-based pickup” button and enter the pickup code. You will be called within a couple of minutes.

 

Balíkovna outlets at other locations

You will need the  pickup code contained in the email or text notification or in our mobile application and the recipient’s name  to pick up your parcel at our partners.

 

Self-service box

Enter the pickup code on the display screen of the box. The box will open, you will pick up the parcel and close the box. That’s all. If you have a parcel with COD, use the   Track parcel tool or the link contained in the email notification or in our mobile application for  prior payment of the COD amount. You will not be able to open the box until the parcel is paid for.

You will be informed about the progress of your addressed parcel delivery by email notifications. A text notification will be sent to you on the day of delivery and our driver will call you before the delivery attempt.

Certainly. Just make sure to give them the pickup code and the addressee’s name or parcel number. You will find the code in the email or text notification or in our mobile application.

It may happen that the Balíkovna location that you selected is unable to accept the parcel because their capacity is full, for example. To ensure that you can pick -up your parcel as soon as possible, we will automatically store it the nearest pickup location. You don’t have to worry about anything. We’ll inform you about the alternativete pickup location through text or e-mail notification. Information will also be available in the Track parcels tool or in our mobile application.

Unfortunately not. Smaller Balíkovna locations have a limited storage capacity so we need you to pick up your parcel as soon as possible, within 7 calendar days at the latest. You have 2 working days to pick up the parcel from a self-service box. But don’t worry. If you do not have time, just send somebody else with the pickup code to collect your parcel.

Balíkovna outlets located at post office
All post offices accept cash or card payments.

 

Balíkovna outlets at other locations
Some of our partners do not accept card payments. In such case, you can use a prior online card payment. Just find your parcel in the  Track parcel tool. If it is ready for pickup, click on the “Online card payment” button. Another option is to pay via a mobile application. Alternatively, use the link contained in the email notification. It is sent as soon as the parcel is ready for pickup.

 

Self-service box
Parcels with COD waiting in a self-service box may only be picked up after a prior online card payment of the COD amount. You will not be able to open the box until the parcel is paid for. Just find your parcel in the Track parcel tool and click on the “Online card payment” button. Another option is to pay via a mobile application. Alternatively, use the link contained in the email notification. It is sent as soon as the parcel is ready for pickup.

 

Balíkovna Home Delivery
The COD amount can be paid directly to the driver in cash or by card. Most of our drivers have a payment terminal.

  • Just select the Balíkovna service from the delivery services offered by the online store. If the service is not available, please send us an email to podporaobchodu@cpost.cz and we will try to arrange for a contract. In the meantime, you can select delivery by Czech Post and use the Online Change of Delivery Instructions tool to have your parcel redirected to a Balíkovna.

A self-service box is a device that allows you to pick up or drop off your parcel at any time and without waiting.

 

Balíkovna outlets located at places other than post offices are run by our partners. You can find them at grocery, stationery, newsagent’s shops or drugstores. Also, at certain SAZKA betting shops.

 

Balíkovna outlets located at post offices are dedicated counters for fast parcel pickup. Some of the post offices with a Balíkovna counter are also run by our partners. They are called Partner Post Offices.

Parcels that are ready for pickup at post offices or our partners will wait for 7 calendar days. Parcels ready for pickup from self-service boxes will wait for about 2 working days.

You can find the exact pickup period in the  Track parcel tool or in the email notification or in our mobile application. We will inform you by an email or text message about the forthcoming end of the pickup period.

No problem. Your parcel will be deposited at the nearest pickup location: a Balíkovna located at post office; Balíkovna at other locations; or self-service box. You will just use the pickup code and collect your parcel at a time that suits you.

Chci Balíkovnu

We don’t have any special requirements concerning the type of establishment. It can be a grocery, a confectionery, a newsagent, a bicycle shop, a haberdashery, a beauty salon, or a hairdresser. Any brick-and-mortar establishment that is easily accessible, has a nice interior, at least some storage capacity, and friendly opening hours will do.

Balíkovna is a network open to any parcel pickup outlets including alternative types.

If you operate self-service parcel lockers, a retail chain with 5 to 99 branches, or are a network operator with 100 or more locations, feel free to contact us at chcibalikovnu@balikovna.cz and include your contact details. We will get back to you with a proposed next step and discuss possible forms of cooperation together.

 

If you have a brick-and-mortar location, please fill online form. If you fulfil the required conditions, we will contact you with a direct offer of cooperation including a draft contract.

 

If you run a chain of 5 or more outlets or self-service boxes, do not fill in the form. Send us an email directly to chcibalikovnu@balikovna.cz We will contact you, describe the terms and conditions, and prepare a cooperation offer including a contract. 

 

Once you fulfil the terms and conditions and sign the contract, you will become a Balíkovna and receive a promotional sign from us as well as details for access to the parcel management application.

 

The whole process has been designed so that you are not bothered with too much paperwork. Each Balíkovna has its own controlling post office to help and directly support you. Technical problems with the parcel management application should be reported to Czech Post’s helpdesk.

Recommend the customer to check the mobile phone or email address to which the code was sent.

 

The code can also be sent again. Just tell the customer to find the parcel in the Track parcel tool and click on “Re-send code.”

 

Another option is to wait for the next notification that is to arrive 2 days before the expiry of the pickup period. It will again include the code. The last option is to have the parcel redirected to the depositing post office and use the identity card to collect the parcel.

 

If a customer uses the Balíkovna mobile application, he can find the pickup code in the parcel details.

Like cash-on-delivery amount, these surcharges will be paid by the customer when the parcel is collected. They are charged for paid additional services chosen by the customer in the Online Change of Delivery Instructions application. 

E-shop

Most parcels are ready for pickup the next working day after sending, i.e. after the moment when the sender hands the parcel over to us for transportation.

The recipient will be informed by email and text notifications about the delivery status. The current status can be viewed in Track parcels on Balíkovna site or directly in the Balíkovna mobile application.

We deliver parcels to a wide network of delivery locations including self-service boxes as well as to addresses throughout the Czech Republic. Current list of Balíkovna pickup locations.

Most parcels can simply be picked up against the pickup code. Anyone with the pickup code can receive the parcel on behalf of the addressee. If identity verification on delivery is required, the parcel will be handed over against proof of identity (applies to delivery to Balíkovna located at post office or home delivery).

 

If cash on delivery is required, we will collect the COD amount from the recipient and transfer it to your account within three days.

Returning or exchanging goods is a breeze with Balíkovna. Just provide your customers with the return code if they need to return or exchange goods. They will pack the goods and drop off the parcel at any Balíkovna location. For more information, please contact podporaobchodu@cpost.cz.

Poslat balík

For other self-service boxes, the label must be attached to the parcel.

We accept any parcels weighing less than 15 kg and having the longest side shorter than 50 cm. Otherwise the parcel may be returned back. We will deliver your parcel to any Balíkovna or address at your home, office or summer house.

Parcels can be cancelled by Balíkovna personnel only. You will get the postage minus a cancellation fee back to your account.

A parcel sent from a Balíkovna located at post office will be returned back to where it came from. If you have sent it from a Balíkovna located elsewhere, you can pick it up at the nearest depositing post office as soon as it returns.

You can send your parcel from any AlzaBoxes (see exactly how to proceed) as well as any OX Point boxes (see exactly how to proceed) and newly also any Penguin Boxes (see exactly how to proceed). 

All data must be entered online.
If sending from an AlzaBox or OX Point Box, you must print the label and attach it to the parcel.

The packaging should be strong. Ideally, use a cardboard box, strong envelope, or strong plastic bag intended for transportation. The colour does not matter.

Parcels with an attached address label are faster to send because you can drop them off at any location including self-service boxes.

 

But you can do without as well. If you do not have a printer and are sending your parcel to a pickup location, just write the posting code on the parcel and drop it off at any Balíkovna location (except sefl-service boxes).

 

If you are sending your parcel to an address, just write the posting code and recipient's name and address on the parcel and drop it off at any Balíkovna location (except self-service boxes). Do not forget to attach the address label if you send the parcel from a box (*).

For deliveries to a pickup location: write the posting code on the parcel and drop it off at any Balíkovna location (excluding self-service boxes);

 

For home deliveries: write the posting code and recipient’s name and address on the parcel and drop it off at any Balíkovna location (excluding self-service boxes).

 

Sending parcels from any Penguin Box is possible without a printed label (you only need to write the posting code on the parcel).

No problem. We will be waiting 7 calendar days for the parcel. It will then be automatically cancelled and you will get a refund.

You can send your parcel from any AlzaBoxes (see exactly how to proceed) as well as any OX Point boxes (see exactly how to proceed) and newly also any Penguin Boxes (see exactly how to proceed).

You need to have a My Balíkovna account. If you do not yet have any, set it up directly in the application.

A smart device running Android and iOS with the Balíkovna application installed and an internet connection.'

If you also want to use the application to send parcels or pay COD amounts, you must have an active payment card or have one added to your e-wallet for Google Pay or Apple Pay payments.

Yes. The data is protected just like on the website because we use the secure ČSOB payment gateway.

No. Your device must be connected to the internet (mobile data or wifi) if you want to send parcels, track parcels, or find the nearest Balíkovna.

Currently, the application does not display archived parcels that have completed their lifecycle. Active parcels will be displayed in the application when the status changes. New parcels will be displayed automatically.

If you encounter a problem, follow the instructions in the mobile application under “More–Feedback.”

Yes. It can be downloaded for free on Google Play or the App Store under the name Balíkovna.

Alza boxy

Parcels weighing up to 15 kg and sized up to 50 × 50 × 50 cm. Applies both to pick up and drop off. 

You can send your parcel from any AlzaBox. Just post the data online, print the address label, attach it to the parcel, and scan the label into the AlzaBox.  Place the parcel into the locker, close it – and it’s sent. More information.

The pickup is very fast and intuitive. Just enter the pickup code you will find in the text or email notification or in the Balíkovna mobile application. Remove your parcel from the open locker, close the locker – and that’s it.

Note: The default screen for picking up from an AlzaBox contains only numeric characters. If your code includes letters, press the “ABC” key to display the full keyboard. Enter the code regardless of case.

Yes. It is necessary to attach the address label onto a parcel that is to be sent from an AlzaBox. We are developing the option of sending parcels from AlzaBoxes without the need to print labels.

If the parcel does not fit the open locker, choose another locker on the Penguin Box screen. A list of available sizes will appear. Choose a larger or smaller locker according to the displayed instruction. For more information see the User Manual.

If the parcel does not fit the open locker, choose another locker on the Penguin Box screen. Then push the none suitable button.

 

Confirm the choice on the following screen to cancel the sending. You will then be able to send the parcel from another Balíkovna location or self-service box.

Domovní box

Yes. From mid-2025, all carriers will be able to join the box network. 

The number of users of one home box is unlimited. It depends on the frequency of use, which should be monitored by the administrator. If the compartments are often full, we recommend purchasing an expansion module.

Administrator:
The administrator is the manager of the box who can invite and remove users and monitor the box’s status via the web interface.

 

User:
The user registers in the box’s service application and sets up a compartment for deliveries.

The boxes will most commonly be placed inside the apartment building. There are 3 options for accessing the building:

 

1. Smart lock for the front door – an optional accessory for the box

2. Access using a designated doorbell

3. Access via the building’s reception area

The box is a modular device. For ten apartment units, we recommend purchasing module X2RESIDENT600 of a single home box for an apartment building. The module has four compartments, each with internal dimensions of 410x500x580 mm, which fits most standard parcels.

Yes. We recommend this solution if the home box cannot fit inside the building. For such cases, boxes designed for outdoor use can be purchased.

For successful installation of a box, preparations must be made for connecting the box to the electrical network (standard 230V electrical socket or a cable with a connector) and for connecting the box to the internet (UTP connection with an RJ45 connector).

For registered users of the box application: just select the Parcel Delivery To Hand or Home Delivery product when ordering goods from an online shop. Home Delivery parcels ordered via the Balíkovna mobile application or the Balíkovna website can also be delivered to your home box.

Domovní privátní boxy

The chosen box type should meet your needs as well as installation possibilities.
You need to enter the PIN using the numerical keypad on the box.

The box needs to be installed on your property with a clear access for the parcel delivery person. The box can be mounted on the wall of the house, on the fence, or fixed in the ground.

Registered box users can choose either Parcel Delivery To Hand or Balíkovna Home Delivery for delivery of goods ordered online. Home Delivery parcels ordered via the Balíkovna mobile application can also be delivered to your home box.

The number of users of one home box is unlimited.

No. The box can be used on condition that the addressee lives at the same address where the box is located.
